How Does Fat Freezing Work?

Fat Freezing, aka Cryolipolysis, is a non invasive procedure which uses controlled cooling to target fat cells in unwanted areas. These fat cells undergo a process called apoptosis, where they die permanently.

Over the following weeks, the dead fat cells are gradually and naturally eliminated from your body. The remaining fat cells condense, reducing the fat layer in that specific area, which results in a slimmer appearance.

How Long Does It Take To See Results?

Fat Freezing results in up to 25% loss of fat cells in your targeted area, and centimeters lost will vary depending on the client's body size. The lost fat cells are permanently removed over the next days and up to 4-6 months.

For best results, clients may also opt to add cavitation to liquify and elimiiiate more fat cells, and lipo laser to shrink fat cells.

What Are The Side Effects?

Fat Freezing, aka Cryolipolysis, is an FDA-cleared technique used for localised fat reduction. Since fat freezing is a non invasive procedure, the most common side effects reported are erythema (redness), bruising, changes in sensation, itching and possible swelling - all which tend to subside within a week. Compared to liposuction, fat freezing has a very low incidence of serious complications.

To prevent freezer burn, we use a protective membrane to cover the layer of your skin where we place the fat freezing device.
